THE FUTURE IS NOW
Weber just dropped its 2026 barbecue lineup, and it’s giving us a glimpse at what the future of grilling could look like.
Weber just dropped its 2026 barbecue lineup, and it’s giving us a glimpse at what the future of grilling could look like.
The biggest shift is a smarter approach to charcoal that blends digital control with real fire, alongside updated gas grills and a growing system of connected tools.
Weber’s new release shows how smoke and technology are sharing the same space, and there isn’t a damn thing you or I can do about it…
The centerpiece of the 2026 range is the Performer Smart Charcoal Grill. It is Weber’s first fully WiFi-connected charcoal model. Built-in probes and a digital controller regulate airflow and track temps so you can cook low and slow with more confidence and less guesswork. What, no touch screen?
App alerts, and remote monitoring let you keep track of your cook without hovering over the grill. Don’t worry, last time I checked, there are no rules that say you can’t still hover if you want.
Gas is getting smarter too…
The Genesis and Spirit gas grills now feature digital thermometers and app connectivity. This makes it easier to manage heat, track doneness, and stay consistent for longer cooks.
New Tools Left and Right
Weber also expanded its lineup of smart probes, controllers, and accessories that work across multiple grill types.
So, Dead Meat Society… what do we think about tech and smoke coming together in a big way in ‘26?
