For everyone who's still here, this is the GE Profile Smart Indoor Pellet Smoker. And it ain't cheap. The MSRP on this bad boy is $749... although internet sleuths say that you can score one at Costco for as little as $250.

According to the description, "This innovative indoor electric smoker uses Active Smoke Filtration to turn real-wood smoke into warm air so you can prepare smoked brisket, pork butt, specialty cocktail ingredients and more at any time from the comfort of your kitchen."

And in case you were wondering, the smoker has a catalytic converter that scrubs the smoke. So you get (most… ok, some) of the perks of smoking without killing your entire family, staining the walls, etc.

This thing was the talk of CES (the Consumer Electronic Show) last year. Note: it can't say the same about any major BBQ festivals.

There appear to be two schools of thought on this...

All the haters had the same thing to say: this is an affront to the smoking community and should be fired into outer space.

Some of the folks defending this glorified air fryer say it’s perfect for indoor living, especially in the city where you can't have a grill, let alone a full smoker setup.

Where do you stand?
